Coaching Class for Cl XII

To the information of all the students of Don Bosco Higher Secondary Arts and Commerce, Maram that the coaching class will begin from 16 April 2013. Compulsory attendance from that day onward. The list of the eligible students will be made available on the college website on 13 April 2013.

DBCMaram Lauds the Ranks Holders of 2012

Maram 31 July 2012: Acknowledging the laurels brought home – that made Don Bosco College, Maram (DBCMaram) proud and outstanding through a galaxy of 48 Rank Holders, the College had a grant felicitation programme organized to which Shri Francis Ngajokp Honorable Minister, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Economics and Statistics, Govt. of Manipur was the Chief Guest. He was accorded a grant welcome by Rev. Fr.(Dr) KO Sebastian SDB, Rector; Rev. Benny James SDB the Principal; Management;  staff and students of theCollege. 
            The opening ceremony began with a special invocation to God by Fr. Roy George SDB, the Administrator. There were various colorful items to mark the magnificent occasion for the beauty of dream fulfilled.
            Rev. Fr.(Dr)  K. O. Sebastian the Rector admired the Honorable Minister Shr. Francis Ngajokpa for being the guardian and patron of the college. He as  well as  exhorted the students to continue to keep up the good tradition and heritage of the college, and to achieve greater heights of success by treading the road to hard work like ‘bees’ who tirelessly toil for every drop of honey .
          
Rev. Fr. Benny James, the principal, with profound gratitude congratulated all  the rank holders, the management, staff and associates for making DBCMaram proud and a prestigious institution  through the marvelous results through the years of its existence and particularly in 2011-12. In his speech Fr. Principal highlighted the achievements of various departments and teachers of different subjects. The college has bagged a total of 48 ranks since 2003 at Plus II level and 177 ranks since 2004 at Degree level. The Principal lauded the contribution of for the mammoth achievement of 225 ranks within a short span of 12 years.
          Honorable Minister Shri Francis Ngajopkpa gave away the awards to the meritorious students as well as to the teachers who excelled in their career. Honorable Minister paid a well fitting tribute to DBCMaram for its reputation, discipline, dedication, academic excellence and laurels brought in spite of lacking several amenities. He highlighted the need of possessing strong determination, dedication, hard work, never to
postpone one’s future for tomorrow, to grab every opportunity, to aim higher and the need to be righteous to build a better society. He also grabbed the occasion to tell the audience about his own success story of single pair of pants to the present post as the minister of Rural Development and Pachayati Raj. Though provoking intrusion into various sectors of once life, the minister kept the audience spellbound till the end. Indeed his frank sharing captivated all the young minds as well as the teachers and all who had gathered.
          The programme came to a fruitful conclusion with profound gratitude and appreciation to every one for the grant success.

It is Once again Don Bosco College Maram

DBCMaram 22 July 2011: In the Graduate Examination conducted by Manipur University, Don Bosco College, Maram, has yet again proved their caliber by bagging forty-six ranks!

The first rank holders of the College are: Sumitra Bhattarai (Chemsitry), Febi Abraham (English), Pung Walter NP (History) and P.S. John Longkhaye (Political Science). In total Don Bosco College, Maram secured four first ranks, seven second ranks, four third ranks, six fourth ranks, two fifth ranks, five sixth ranks, four seventh ranks, seven eighth ranks, two ninth ranks and five tenth ranks. Fr. Benny James SDB, the principal of Don Bosco College, Maram, opinioned that the glorious result of the College is due to the collective effort of the management, teachers, the students and the well wishers of the college and the media persons. It is a great historic moment that would never be erased in the history of the College as it once again took a lion‘s share of ranks in the Degree Examinations that were declared on 21 July 2011. It is to be noted here that Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School (Arts & Commerce), Maram had bagged 11 ranks of Plus II examination declared last month.
