Jesus Youth Makes Renewal Programme in Mumbai

Jesus Youth Campus Vibes 2012 was held at Cannosa Ashram , Mumbai for the leadership training of Jesus Youth Campus Ministry Initiative from 1st  June to 8th June 2012. Thereafter National Evaluation meeting was held in Pope X Seminary Goregaon,  Mumbai from 9th – 10th June.

Mr. L.J.Moses  was deputed from the college to participate in the programme from Don Bosco College Maram as a representative from the state of Manipur.

There were 26 participants came from different  states of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkand, Karnataka,  Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Manipur, Jabalpur, Meghalaya  and Tamil Nadu.

Eight days programme was animated by the Jesus Youth National Team. The sessions were very tightly scheduled by different animators on different topics  like -: Day one – Youth Survey to various places; Day two – Praise and worship and retreat by  Fr.jacob, Jordy Micheal; Day three – Love of God  and relationship in God by Fr. Jacob;  Day four- Jesus the perfect example and the spiritual exercise Fr. Francis; Day Five – Knowledge about Bible; Day six  – Holy Spirit, Saints Paul, Francis of Assissi, Mother Teresa and their spiritual lives. by Sr.  Theresiamma; Day seven – call of Abraham and outreach program me to Don Bosco shelter , Mumbai; Day eight –evaluation and entertainment.

 Every session was followed by music, action songs, Video clips, group activities, sharing of personal testimonies and group discussions.

All the participants personally benefitted from the programme and helped them to build up their self- confidence, leadership qualities and   above all enabled them to grow in their spiritual life.

National evaluation Meeting 2012 was held in Pius Seminary from 9th and 10th June 2012. There were 260 participants from different colleges and universities and the topics were: Day one- Role of Jesus Youth in nurturing the faith of new generation by Fr.Edward; Looking to the future of Jesus Youth, movement, challenges and possibilities by Manoj Sunny; Shepherd’s voice, Jesus Youth movement and expectation from the church, by Archbishop Abraham, Bishop Thomas and Bishop Angelo; Day Two – Stages of formation in Jesus Youth and formation plans by Manoj Sunny;  Challenges of leadership  in Ministry Building by Raju Varghese; Need for reaching out  by Siljo Thomas. All these sessions were given much attention by restoring the enthusiasm of the participants through lively music and group discussion.
